Lines of knowledge generation and application

• Analysis of individual, group, and organizational behavior and risk factors.
• Quality of life, behavioral processes, and instrument validation.

General objective. To train researchers with the ability and capacity to innovate, contribute and generate solutions to socially relevant problems through knowledge generation, technological development, basic and applied research, based on the ethical principles that regulate psychological practice.

Objectives

• They will demonstrate attitudes, knowledge, values, and skills that will enable them to investigate, analyze, and propose solutions to regional and/or national problems.
• They will be able to define a research question to generate data that will allow them to write an original thesis.
• They will demonstrate communication skills and abilities that will allow them to disseminate research results orally and in writing, using grammatical elements in Spanish and English.
• They will always conduct themselves with an ethical attitude towards the demands for knowledge and solutions to problems of scientific and social relevance. 

Entry profile. Requirements:

• To understand the methodological and theoretical aspects related to basic and/or applied research in psychology.
• Demonstrate the ability to generate research ideas and apply psychological knowledge of scientific and/or social relevance.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of scientific manuscripts in English.
• Demonstrate basic skills in the use of computer programs, word processing, spreadsheets, data analysis and interpretation, and the creation of presentations.
• Understand the academic and professional goals of the graduate program.
• To understand the relevance of scientific work and its impact on society and on the scientific development of the discipline. 

Graduate profile. The graduate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and values:

Knowledge: 

• You will have up-to-date information on the literature in your area of ​​research. 
• You will learn and understand the technical and methodological principles required in your area of ​​research interest. 

Abilities:

• It will analyze, evaluate, and synthesize relevant and pertinent scientific information to an area of ​​study.
• He will be able to generate and conduct original research.
• He will clearly present, orally and in writing, the results of his research through the use of relevant information technologies.
• You will work in multi and/or transdisciplinary teams.

Attitudes and Values:

• The practice of the substantive functions of la Universidad de Guadalajara. 
• You will have a sense of social responsibility.
• He will respect and tolerate the ideas, people and work of other colleagues within or outside the discipline. 
• It will demonstrate openness to scientific criticism of the work and/or ideas.
• He will be disciplined, honest, and work ethically. 

Admission requirements. These are those established in the General Postgraduate Regulations of la Universidad de Guadalajara, the others established by current university regulations and the following:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related fields, or graduation certificate.
• Demonstrate a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or equivalent document from previous studies, as applicable.
• Letter of intent explaining the reasons for taking the program.
• Submit two letters of recommendation from academics of recognized prestige.
• Pass the exam on the conceptual and methodological analysis of scientific texts.
• Obtain a favorable opinion in the interview conducted by the Academic Board.
• Present EXANI III from CENEVAL; 
• Applicants must submit proof of English language proficiency of at least 350 points on the TOEFL exam or a certificate issued by a recognized institution dedicated to teaching or accrediting English language proficiency, approved by the program's Academic Board. Applicants whose native language is not Spanish must also demonstrate proficiency in Spanish. 
• Students with studies completed abroad must submit apostilled documents.
• Dedicate full time to the master's program. 
• Those additional ones established by the call for applications. 

Requirements for obtaining the degree. In addition to those established in university regulations, the following will apply:

• Having completed 100% of the credits established by the master's program.
• Pass the reception exam by presenting and defending a thesis in a public dissertation. 
• Present proof of no outstanding debt issued by the School Control Coordination of the University Center.
