General objective. It is to satisfy the educational needs of high-quality doctoral programs in law and legal research, in order to produce new knowledge that responds to the needs of society and the market, in accordance with the principles of social justice, democratic coexistence and collective prosperity.

Specific objectives

• To consolidate, in the legal field, a staff of high-quality professors and researchers, recognized nationally and internationally, to contribute to the training of high-level human resources and academic productivity.
• To generate high-quality legal study and research groups, recognized nationally and internationally, to influence the solution of the main legal problems of society, at the local, regional, national and international levels.
• Consolidate the PDD as a program registered in the PNPC upon completion of the first generation. 

Admission Profile. This program assumes that the applicant has completed a bachelor's and a master's degree in law. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the applicant has the skills to conduct high-quality research. The applicant must also have:

• Academic aptitude for doctoral studies. 
• A vocation for legal research. 
• Proficiency in a foreign language. 
• Skills in the use of computer tools. 
• Ability to lead and promote legal research groups. 
• Creativity to lead and promote legal research groups.
• Creativity to propose research projects and ability to manage resources. 

• Critical capacity towards the established norm.

Knowledge:

• About the main contemporary theories in the area of ​​Law and its respective branches.
• Expertise in areas of their specialization.
• Ability to interpret and critically evaluate new regulations as they are introduced.

• Conduct specialized legal research.
• Innovate by generating research projects, as well as imagination to manage the resources needed for them.

Therefore, the researcher who graduated from the doctoral program: 

• He will work in an activity related to his training (teaching, research or specialized advice) and will have national and/or international academic recognition, by virtue of obtaining the degree of doctor in law. 
• He may be incorporated as a professor-researcher into upper secondary and higher education programs, through the creation of new PTC positions, in accordance with the PROMEP guidelines.
• It will generate legal research projects that will respond to the needs of society and the market, in accordance with the principles of social justice, democratic coexistence and collective prosperity. 
• It will contribute to the consolidation of the field of legal research, through its production, in which it will reach cutting-edge knowledge. 
• He will actively participate, with relevant contributions, in academic events of a regional, national and international institutional nature. 

Admission requirements. These are those established in the current university regulations, in addition to:

• Statement of reasons for pursuing the doctoral program.
• Proposal of a legal research topic that demonstrates coherence between the student's area of ​​interest and the research line to which they aspire.
• Letter of commitment to full-time availability to complete the program.
• Original and copy of the official document (title) and professional license that proves having obtained the degree of master in law or related master's degree.
• Demonstrate a minimum average of 80 (eighty) with an original master's degree certificate.

• Proof of foreign language proficiency: English: TOEFL paper-based certificate, or its equivalent, with the score determined by the Academic Board. 

  French: TCF II Certificate, Test de Connaissance du Français.

  Other language: Certificate from the Department of Languages ​​of CUCSH.

• Accredit the CENEVAL EXANI III exam. 
• Obtain a favorable result in the curriculum assessment interview. 
• Those additional ones established by the call for applications.

Requirements to obtain the degree. 

• Having completed the corresponding Doctoral program.
• Having fulfilled the requirements indicated in the respective study plan.
• To present, defend and approve the undergraduate thesis resulting from original research. 
• Present proof of no outstanding debt issued by the School Control Coordination of the University Center. 

• Cover the corresponding fees.
